The Real Battleground with the Technocrats

Epistemology, the study of “knowing” is the real battleground against the technocrats. The scientisers believe all knowing can be reduced to mathematics. Thus aesthetics are a matter of calculations or observations of how many hairs raise on the back of your hand or which part of your brain lights up when you are looking at a Constable painting. The uniquely human matter of morality is reduced by the scientisers to acts of animal “altruism “designed to do no more than improve the gene pool. Moral dilemmas involving love are insultingly reduced to and represented as trolley problems. Such an approach excises and dispenses with the way in which humans profoundly “know” each other personally or know the person or persons of their God. Thus, precisely what distinguishes us is dispensed with by “clever” scientising fools who want to force everything within the convenient but pedestrian ambit of scientific method. They do a kind of violence to the ways in which we can know and constantly attempt to dismiss or demote the most important and, ironically, human ones.
