Patere - To Suffer, Be Vulnerable

To the left the value of human beings is measured by the extent to which they can be considered to be patients. One can suffer in terms of illness, disability, victimhood or grievance. Value resides in the fact that their suffering can be weaponised in order to threaten, bully, blackmail or manipulate others. The interest in them is purely utilitarian. They are means not ends.
