The technocratic mindset that actually believes that living in the element of time has effectively been abolished by science and big data so that there is no such thing as an “emerge”ncy which cannot be ‘solved’ by simply selecting the right protocol from a pre-existing smorgasbord to address it. The new study based on excess deaths that proved that England fared comparatively badly in Europe is now being weaponised to prove Boris’s incompetence in selecting the wrong protocol in order to unseat him. BBC full tilt on this even though Prof David Speigelhalter tells them clearly that our more frequent and wider-ranging holidaying habits seeded England extremely efficiently.
The technocrats who think we have reality all sewn up in this way are, of course, the same ones who fail spectacularly to predict our political and economic behaviour on a regular basis. They just don’t understand the human freedom and agency that militate against the attempts of data to “capture” us. These geniuses still haven’t noticed what humans are. They also, of course, feed their vindictive prejudices and predisposed animuses into their interpretations of their data.
