Lessons will be Learnt

Will there come a time when so many "lessons have been learnt" that we will know everything and nothing bad will ever happen again? Scholars have suggested that when schools and Universities were first set up many centuries ago it was done in order that lessons would be learnt but with no expectation that they would permanently remove misfortune from the world.
