Departure Bias

I make a new discovery. It's happened to us all hasn't it? You're in the shower and you notice that there is only a sliver of soap left. Mental note to self; must get a new cake of soap out before I leave the bathroom and stick the sliver to it ready for tomorrow's shower. Then you start towelling yourself down and thinking about the day and, before you know it, you're out of the door and the sliver is left unadhered to the new block of soap. Result? Dismay the next day as you stand naked in the shower. It's estimated that the UK economy loses £500 billion per annum on departure bias. Imagine, our ancestors didn't even know about it!
