Sapiens

A certain reading of Schopenhauer might suggest that the will to live and reproduce were cruelly implanted into innocent humans in order to consign us to the misery of being chained to the wheel of suffering by such desire. I don't think this is true, though. As just another animal we were never without the will to live and reproduce and if you took them away there would be nothing left to us because that's all we've ever been. The only thing that separates us from all the other living and reproducing animals is the fact that we know that that is what we are. They don't.......
