A Man Wants.......

Because of our nature as sexually reproducing and, therefore, sexually defined, a certain take can be offered on Schopenhauer's will to breed. A man wants c***. A woman wants c**k. And as the woman straddles the man or the man splits the woman they find themselves face to face and eye to eye and the dialogue of relationship, person to person, begins. Thus also begins human society in relationship and progeny.

Any account that attempts to portray what happens between humans as something more high-minded than this deceives us as to what we are. We are the only animals who know we are animals but we are still animals.

It is only after these things have happened that the higher things occur. They can never occur or be sustained without this essential substrate. To pretend otherwise is to flatter ourselves that we are something which we are not.
