Smart Journalists

Our oh so smart journalists are the inheritors of the Liberal-Christian-Enlightenment heritage out of which their tradition of prose writing emerged. Their stance of supposed impartiality (which is usually de facto in precisely the wrong direction) is stunningly illogical. They effectively collude in the destruction of their own tradition by the sinister intelligence-erasing forces ranged against that tradition. They posture that they are speaking from some kind of tabula rasa neutral position that sagely and haughtily observes what is going on. That position does not exist. You are either for or against wit and civilisation.
